Established 2012
Coach: Shawn Swartz

(students Caleb Hawkins and Nick Biemiller compete in the crosscut competition)

Warren Wilson College established a Timbersports team in the Fall of 2012. While still technically a club sport, the team competed in the 2012 Haywood Woodsman's Meet at the Cradle of Forestry.

Complete Events List: Quiz Bowl , Dendrology, Archery, Team Log Roll, Orienteering, Horizontal Speed Chop, Water Boil, Pulpwood Toss for Accuracy, Axe Throw, Pole Fell, Pole Climb, Cross Cut Saw Events, Single Buck, Bolt Split, Chain Saw Events, Standing Block Chop

Any student at Warren Wilson College is eligible to participate in Timbersports, regardless of previous experience or major. Practices are typically several times a week, and are 2 hours long. Team members can choose to participate in one event, or multiple events, depending on their interests and skills.

The team was able to purchase a new Tuatahi axe for standing block chop, several new throwing axes, and a new competition-grade crosscut saw before they competed in Timberbeast in February 2013.
