Suicide Ridge Trail Improvements

One of the big projects for the spring semester of 2014 was to repair the Suicide Ridge trail. This involved major regrading of the tread and the installation of many rolling grade dips to get water off of the trail. The Forestry Crew did an excellent job with the work and it is now much improved!

The Warren Wilson College Forest is an integral component of the Forestry Program and serves as a living laboratory and interactive classroom. Surrounding the main campus, the forest is 650-acres of naturally regenerated mixed hardwoods, riparian forest, planted pine and a wide range of plant communities and wildlife habitats. The College Forest is managed for multiple use by the Forestry Crew.
