The Warren Wilson Chapter of the Society of American Foresters is a student-run organization focused on three main objectives:
1) to provide educational opportunities for members and others interested in forestry and to aid students in forestry-related career decisions
2) to facilitate communication between people working locally in forestry related fields, the Warren Wilson community, and the community outside of Warren Wilson
3) to serve as a representative of the Warren Wilson forestry student body and to provide input to the school on matters related to forestry and the forestry program

Some of the activities that this chapter organizes include the Forester's Ball (an educational and fundraising event), speakers from natural resource management and research fields, field trips and tours of local forestry operations, and educational events on the Warren Wilson campus geared towards families from the community.
